No. Firmware is stored on the NAND. Keep your ps3 on 3.42 and do not update. We may have jailbreak for it soon.

Wouldn't they do a jailbreak for 3.50 being it upgrades the PS3, but is the same for the jailbreak patch? Like how they didn't jailbreak 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 on the iPhone/iPod because they knew 4.1 would come out very soon?
