I returned it today and went to argos to buy a new 1 but they said i can only return it if its faulty. If i buy it and its on 3.50 im screwed.
i rang up sony today and they said it depends on how long its been in stock for depends the software. by 5pm today GMT i will be buying one but how can i make sure where i get it from it is on older software???

My excuse is that the mega drive emulator does not work on 3.42 and i have rang sony and told me its not supported with the new update!!?? believable?

walmart almost 2 weeks ago bought a 250gb ps3 FW3.30 was on it ( 250gb ps3's sell less I think), or go to a pawnshop ask to see what FW is on, my friend had done the pawnshop deal

I'm going to try the idea above with the ps3 in the window if not look for a pawnshop. not seen any where i live tho.

Yea it works. Most the gaming/ electonic stores allow you to buy the one on display (always bit cheaper as its been used.. nothing wrong with it) so EB games.. JBHIFI.. SONY. and any other big stores let ya do it. let usknow what happens.

Go to walmart. I work there so I would know. Don't buy the new 160GB ones those are on V3.42 get the older 120 GB
