i don't know if this was posted before or not.

but i have a theory of how sony blocked the jailbreak devices on 3.42.

as we know , to boot the jailbreak , the only device connected to the ps3 must be the Jaibreak Device (like USBbreak ...etc). if there was another device the jailbreak wont work.


so what if sony planted some virtual usb device ? so the jailbreak won't boot ?/facepalm

LOL then why do you turn the power and click the eject at the same time? it is something sony made for Devs and jailbreak was using that gift by sony but now sony blocked it and i dont think there will ever be another jailbreak

and btw now sony blocked most of the USB's some modded controllers may not work some other things too

Nope. What they did, was probably changed the exploit or as Battler mentioned, blocked certain (micro-controllers?) all together.

I think theres still a way to do it. I think that sony deleted any possible way of doing it in 3.42 but they brought back being able to boot from usb in 3.50. Anyone agree?

Maybe they changed the challenge that gets sent to the JIG, and also changed the response that the JIG should give the PS3?

I am sure they patched it in one firmware then 3 weeks later remove dit. /facepalm

do u knw how much it costs them to develop a firmware? and ur saying they removed the patch 3 weeks later? think about it
