Post: Solution on how to switch the X and O buttons.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've played around with the register and found the fix for switching the X and O buttons. Handy when you have a JAP PS3.

Here is the solution.

- Download the file xRegistry.sys from your PS3 with a FTP server ( found in dev_flash2/etc/ )
- Then open it with the lastest xRegistry Editor and find the key : /setting/system/buttonAssign
- Change the Data Value to 00000001
- Upload the file xRegistry.sys back to your PS3 and restart it.

Here you go, the X and O buttons are switched.

Because if you own a JAP PS3 then the X and O buttons are changed. And most people like the US and EU way of the buttons.

I just read what u wrote, but I am so new to all this stuff so can u please give me exact step by step on how to switch the xo buttons. To start how do I get sys file from my own ps3, don't know what u mean with FTP. Thanks for the help in advance.

if you're on firmware 3.50 then you cant do this :(

I am on 3.50. So can I do anything to switch them?

Love it. I'm more use to japanese games then I am US game controlls xD I got alot of imports I play. So being able to change then so it works for US games would be fun. x]
