whats the JIG? is it like a KV for xbox so if we get banned we can un-ban our selves or something else

Nand is the firmware correct? when i was in the wii hacking zones i backed my nand up as it was a full back of of your system. all downloads your system version and so on so this can mean custom firmware and downgrades yes? costume blu-ray drive no idea. service mode is that what sony will access on their ps3's? and not to sure about developer modes is that for homebrew?
