Post: So firmware 3.50 stops Jailbreaking due to Device ID restrictions?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If my assumption is correct? why can't we fake a Device ID? The Great People who made the Fragenstein Controller were able to do so. All their Device is a wireless Joystick and mouse, transmitted via RF, using a USB dongle. The dongle was made useless after firmware 3.50, all they did was fake their device to be an Official Sony device.

If somone has that said controller, and has the firmware files, maybe just maybe we can take a look and see what the Great people who made the Fragenstein Controller did.

Or I could be completely wrong, because I'm high as a kite right now.

But, my reasoning seems logical. If you make me look stupid right now go right ahead. I'm just bored of waiting for the next "LEAK"

It's not just due to device ID restrictions. The firmware has been patched in other ways to stop booting from the USB device first.

so what is booting first now? Boot sector on the nand? Hard disk?

On a side note: for some reason i can get my ps3 to freeze during boot, if i plug my phone into it when its tethering. Then after i get it to boot properly the sound stops. Eh i might not be doing anything but i found it interesting to mention.

someone "smart" could think of a way to install the jailbreak directly into the NAND, either by soldering or a gap in the motherboard. if that can be done u may also be able to downgrade, as u would have FULL access to the NAND
