It all depends how it's set up so you should have it set up like this. Take ur lag switch and plug one end into the modem then the other end into the router. Then lastly take a regular ethernet cord and plug one end into one of the routers 4 slots and the other end into the back of the ps3. Me and many other ppl have had this problem and this fixed it so any1 with lag switch trouble try it out. Also if this wrks plz rep me.

this would probally help me greatly except id need another like 100 ft ethernet cable to do this so ill stick with
