In a quick summary of KaKaRoTo’s professional opinion: Hermes’ payload sucks; syscall 35 is in, syscall 36 is out (for good reason too); peek & poke isn’t necessary, leave the kernel patching to the payloads.
All in all: PL3 is the answer. Why? PL3 includes everything you need — Game Updates, PSN Package Support, Disc-less Backups, Firmware 3.01, 3.10, and 3.15 Support — and most importantly it’s done properly.
