Some people might get in touch with the sales person from PS Jailbreak, but we never knew the team (or individual) who is behind the development of the PS Jailbreak dongle itself. I ran a whois search on the PSJailbreak.com domain only to find out that they faking their domain’s profile which according to their registrar, they are located in Bahamas. We knew that this isn’t true. Or is it? Well, it is really quite frustrating for some who does not know the people who has worked on what they used. Especially, the hacking items.
Who are they exactly? Why they did not reveal themselves when they claimed that the dongle is copyright-free? Alright, let’s take a look at the possibilities we can made from this.
George Hotz(Geohot)

The most obvious person and also the least likely one. Obvious reasons? Let’s take a look here:
- Announced that he is giving up on the PS3 crack only to find out about a month later that the PS Jailbreak has been released.
- xorloser in which has a connection with geohot, confirmed that the dongle is working.
- Mathieulh has mentioned that the PS Jailbreak team uses Geohot exploit for the dongle.
Reading up the reasons above may make an assumption better on geohot, but if you take a consideration of geohot’s public appearances on TV for the first iPhone Jailbreak ever, than you would think twice
Origa Brothers

I don’t know much about them as i think they are quite known with the PS2 scene. Anyway, this has been pointed by SKFU and he said in his blog that:

Maybe they used the PSJailbreak name, to consciously point the people to GeoHot to hide themselves? Did the webmaster just **** up by posting the image with the TITAN brand by mistake?
He has some good points on them and considering the facts that they have vast experience with the PS2 scene and all that imo.
Complete Unknowns

No track record with the PS3 scene nor any other gaming consoles. So, this will be a team of complete unknowns which happened to found the exploit, either thanks to geohot or cracking it by themselves. Also, they might be controlled by someone who just want to make muchos of money and this could explained why they put such an expensive price tag to the dongle that works as fine as other clones. Nonetheless, they are definitely not from Bahamas
The Sony themselves

I know this theory is very cheap but i think they are the most aggressive company with the lawsuits and all that, so this might be a tactic to juice up some money from the PS3 users who supposedly trying to jailbreak their console when they actually making it jailbreakable themselves. And maybe that’s one of the reasons why the PS Jailbreak dongle is overpriced! Muahaha..ok this one is stupid, take that back.
So who do you think they are??
I personally think Sony!!
