Post: possible jailbreak idea?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I know that jailbreaking your ps3 has to do with your ps3 reconzing your usb devices right as you turn it on. When you put your ps3 into the hidden recovery mode and it tells you to plug in your controller through usb, could you attempt this with psjailbreak? or did 3.50 block block all third party devices from recovery mode too?
(if this is a really dumb idea or it has been asked before you can close it right away:p)

I'm not gonna say its dumb, but it won't work.

I'm not entirely sure what Sony did with the third party devices, however they did it on a very low software level, as in startup level.
Because the way the Jailbreak works is a complicated process that only works after a hard reset(pull power out).

If it blocks it from using after a hard reset, its most definitely going to block it from use in recovery mode.

If someone backed up there ps3 onto a usb, and you restored your ps3 with there backup would you have their custom patches on your ps3?

Hmmmm, personally i don't know, i wondered the very same thing myself.

But I've been told that the answer is no, because when you restore to a different PS3, less data is restored. However i'm struggling to see why the ps3 cant restore game data, its not as if its copy righted material like DLC's. No-ones proved it to me. So it could be possible, but highly unlikely else it would be flooding forums by now, a simple backup you could download and restore on your ps3.

If anyone could add confirmation on this I'd be thankful as well as the OP.
