In the letter, the buyer is required to sign an agreement that they will no longer import, distribute or use any PS3 Jailbreak device that allows or making it easy to bypassing the copy protection of the PS3 console. If they failed to do so after signing the agreement, they will get a penalty amounted to €5,100. In other case, if the buyer refused to sign the “cease and desist letter” then they will face a lawsuit from Sony with a value of dispute at €50,000.

Sony Computer Entertainment also requesting every buyer to transfer the rights to request the PS3 Break package back from customs over to Sony Computer Entertainment and they will also agree on the destruction of the PS3 Jailbreak device. Clearly the legal situation is in favor of the big Japanese company, Sony
