No it's not legit. You need a modchip. Regular usb drives have already been said to not work.

i wanted to post this vid but now i have seen that its already postet^^ i dont know it looks pretty much like not a fake but i dont want to try it cause may it breaks the ps3 in a shity way and it stays 4ever so u cant play online or anything...
