(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am just wondering whether the PSJailbreak is compatible with 2.42 firmware? Also please could you tell me what other firmwares it is compatible with as i am looking to buy a ps3 that is compatible.

Yes just download the 3.41 official firmware of a trustworthy site or search on here for it.

Then stick the update on a USB Stick.

Theres also a folder structure you have to have but i cant remember it :S .

You got a 2.41 PS3?
You can make the JB compatable using KaKaRoTos guide
Its not a easy process though im bout to give up trying to
make 2.7x compatable :(

no but its easy to update to get your ps3 to the 4.41 just download the 3.41 software lace it in a folder called UPDATE then place that folder in another folder called PS3 place that on a memory stick Smile then go to your ps3 and update from storage media and there you do 4.41 software Smile

The only firmware which is compatible for PSJailbreak and its clones is 3.41, this is because it is the firmware it is designed for and the firmware they fund the exploits they needed.

The folder structure is PS3 > UPDATE > ( Then the patch ) therefore , the fold name is called PS3 , then make a folder inside of it called UPDATE then inside of the UPDATE folder put the patch , Make sure PS3 and UPDATE are written in capitals or the ps3 will not read it .
