If you notice near the bottom of the update instructions there is more than one hex you can flash it with. Does it matter which one i use?

Also does this come with backup manager already on? If not how would i go about get backup manager on the device so i can use FTP?

How do i boot this?

Backup managers are never part of the payload/hex flashes. Nor do they get loaded on that way.

All pkg's are put on a normal usb flash drive and installed using the newlly opened option to install package files under the game menu.

Hex's (Or what you should refer to as payloads) make a difference. Some are not compatible with every backup loader (Difference in syscalls) as well as features.

If you are asking how you boot, it is the same for every jailbreak. Power completely off, pop in your jailbreak device, power then immediately eject.
