Post: Whats the best software to back up ps3 games?

hmm, uncharted 2 works perfect for me with backup manager

do you backup to internal/external?

and what payload?

i use my external..and that was the question i was gonna ask in your thread about using the hermes v4b.

Uncharted 2 won't work on an external HDD because the file sizes must be under 4gb each to run off the external and uncharted uses files over 4gb... There are some apps for the computer that will let you split the files but I'm not sure if any backup manager will split them for you.


  • Backup Manager - It's OK but doesn't let you do much, just plain and simple.
  • Open Manager - Look crazy with the GUI but gives you some nice features also not to user friendly because you need to compile the PKG on your own or download it illegally.
  • Gaia Manager - Based off open manager but with a nice GUI quite a few features and user friendly.

so theres no way for me to run it from external using any of the above you mentioned? that sucks i just bought the external thinking i could swap between my jailbroken ps3s

You can split the files into 4gb and it will work fine...
