Well just want to confirm with you.. that you cannot downgrade.. you will have to be on a lower fw than 3.41 to update to it.

i have a ps3 on 2.6. how do i upload it to my ps3? i put it in my usb by itself and put into my ps3 and went to tghe update area and it said somthing like"no applicable data found"

On your USB make a folder called 'PS3', in that make another folder called 'UPDATE' then place the 'PS3UPDAT.PUP' in there. Make sure that the names of the folders are all in capitals.

I would just sell the PS3 if I were you. And then buy another one with firmware below 3.41 But that's just me.
