(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i bought a used fat backwards compatible ps3 with the 4 usb ports, the blueray drive doesnt work but i heard theres still ways to jailbreak it..i already have ftp manager and backup manager. i have 2 different usb dongles but i cant get either one to boot with ps3 it keeps sayin usb no recognizable and when i first jailbroke it the screen turn black on ftp and backup can anyone help? i have another jailbroken ps3 i just want to make this one work so any help would be really appreciated please

does your jailbreak device connect directly to your ps3 with a usb cord? if so i heard that too long of a usb cable can mess make it fail. but if your device connects directly to your ps3 without a usb cable then i'm not sure. if could be that the hex file is incorrect or not properly flashed.

no is a dongle the real ps3break and i bought another one from a different site wich are very good as well and they both work with my other jailbroken ps3 but not this one

Well might as well eliminate it being the ps3 by restoring it (dw it doesnt change the firmware)
That way it will be fresh copy, then try and jailbreak it

dont work either i tried 2 HD i even went to recovery mode and tried different options and still didnt work i jailbroke it the first time i got it then i gave me a black screen after i turn it off and back on it never worked again or recognize any usb dongles

When u say doesnt recognize any usb dongles. Does that include normal usbs?

If so..maybe your usb ports are shot.?

Otherwise maybe try a different jailbreak option... iphone/ipod? or ti calc?

I know you already got two dongles but whats the harm in trying something else, maybe theres a fault in the dongles ( since they are clones and all)

make sure nothing else is plugged into the usb ports and that you are on a clean boot meaning the ps3 was powered off by the switch in the back
