I also bought the Minimus AVR USB 32K to jailbreak the PS3
I have tried like forever using various Hex
For some reason i can not enter the PS3 without the Jailbreak on...
Is it because i am using FW ver 2.60 --- I do NOT want to start upgrading the software unless i can downgrade it again....
Any help would be greatful, particularly in the folling areas:
What HEX file do i need
What is the best Manager to use without deleting any files on the HDD
Can i use FW 2.60 or DO I HAVE to Upgrade
How do i Upgrade the firmware if I have to
I know i'm a bit lame - But assistance from you techno gamers would be appreciated.
Can i not simply run a backup game from DVD using the JB or MUST i install to HDD first...

You can jailbreak 2.60, You will have to modify the payload (unless there is one built for it) but it is a much better idea then upgrading to 3.41 and losing otheros.

I would suggest updating to 3.15 if anything. No point in staying under 3 and 3.15 still retains otherOS.
