Anyone who has a apple iPhone or iPod touch that has it jailbroken knows apple puts out firmware just as Sony did to patch the loop holes used to "jailbreak" their device. They then require apps to be on the most recent firmware in order to work, just as Sony is doing with their games. We know many new titles and most likely Black Ops will require a system on 3.42 or 3.50 in order to even play the game in offline mode. What the hackers "Dev team" etc would do if they couldn't crack the current firmware for an apple device is just take the jailbroken firmware and trick it to think it's the most current firmware. Why could this not be the same with the PS3? They have used this method since the 1st apple iPhone! The PS3 would be jailbroken on 3.41 but appear to be on 3.50.
Ps3 security is much higher than an ipod.. it took ages to find the exploit on 3.41 and they patched that :/ and since the firmware is on the Nand you'll need to know alot obout that sort of stuff before you even attempt to play with that :y:
