You talkin to me?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK, there are more threads about downgrades and jailbreaks now than anything else, and it's starting to get on my nerves... So I've decided to make this thread that denotes everything that DOESN'T work along with some things that MIGHT work.
JAILBREAKS
What Doesn't Work
1. Any firmware above 3.41 (may change on Monday (8/11/10))
2. Using a PSP...
3. OtherOS...
4. Backing up to HDD and sending to new PS3 -- Backups can only be restored to the ps3 they originated from, and besides, it only copies HDD (I know this is for downgrading, but somepeople have suggested this for jailbreaking?)

What Might Work
1. The new update supposedly coming on Monday (8/11/10) from the PSJailbreak Team.
2. Downgrading to 3.41 or below, but you'll lose access to PSN -- BUT WE CANNOT DO THIS YET!

DOWNGRADING
What Doesn't Work
1. Any form of the HDD Swap Method.
2. OtherOS -- Taken out in 3.21
3. Removing the NAND Chip (Flash)
4. Swapping the NAND Chip (Flash)

What Might Work
1. My Downgrade THEORY (NOT METHOD!), big-headed, I know, but it is the only plausible one, so far. You read at the link in my sig, or just go here: You must login or register to view this content.
