Honestly, what are you trying to do? Get the patch or put the patch? Because either way you are trying to do it the hard way.

He wants access to the patch via hdd on the ps3, i know he needs hdd studio and thats about it but it is possible to do this method.

I do this a lot of time ago in 3.30, yes you can get the patch out, but how the **** you can get the patch in the hdd?
Jailbreak or my theory is, do a Image file with a 3.50 ps3 with the patch modded and restore the others ps3 with that image. The bad think is the HDD would be the same size.
I know that image is 50 GB (in my case) lol.

If you want a patch they are posted here, and if you do the PS3 studio thing the end of the patch is 00 01 00 01

There a bunch of easier methods out there dude. There is a little chance you will get your goal through this method.
