its simple, disconnect your ps3 from the internet, and then follow this link and download it
-https://downloads.exophase.com/685/ps3-firmware-341/
then put it in your usb stick
then press system update, from usb stick.

Now, If I may ask, what do I do if my PS3 is connected Wirelessly to the internet? I assume that you just turn the wireless off?

go to network settings - internet connextion - enabled [disabled]

Ok, well what if it's not working? I turned internet off, went to system update, system storage, ad no update was found on my flash drive.

ok so your usb looks like this
ps3\update\ps3 update file
ps3 is the first folder in the usb root.
