I know that there has been some rumors and videos that fw 3.5 is able to be jail-broken without downgrading.

Is that true and confirmed? As in the people that get shit done like the_unkown has confirmed it? (I'm pretty sure hes one of the more knowledgeable users on jailbreaking ps3's here).

Also I'm looking at that E3 card thing.
It's only $15 so I doubt I could go wrong in buying it, but I still am checking with you guys.

I'll be able to downgrade my 3.5 ps3 to 3.41 correct?
If so I'll get another ps3 and I know that the patch transfer works 3.41 to 3.55 which is my main reason for wanting to jailbreak.

Is there any downside to buying the E3 card?
They will be updating it most likely right?
It also does the jailbreak right? Which is convenient since I don't really want to risk my $80 calculator I use for school (but I'll risk my $600 ps3 lol irony).

But I mind as well buy the E3 because once the 3.5 jailbreak comes out I could just upgrade to that from my ps3 that I downgraded to 3.41 using the E3 card, and then Jailbreak using whatever new method there is.
That is if there is even reason to do that. Not sure what the difference between a 3.41 jailbreak and a 3.5 jailbreak would be since both cant be on psn now that 3.55 is out.

Yeah the direct jb, just stick with 3.41. you can play wii and gamecube back ups on the ps3 now, thats sick

My friend has the Groove 8.96(at least thats what he said when I asked what he used to jailbreak).
Can that be updated to do the downgrade from 3.5 to 3.41?

Yeah atm u can downgrade, but theres a 3.55 now so dont update, because most likely they patched the downgrade.

since it was only for jailbreaking when my friend bought it, it wont downgrade my system from 3.5 to 3.41.
