Post: Upgrade from 3.41 to 3.50 to go online?

I just upgraded to play online also. I'm not sure if there is an easier way, but it worked.
-You're gonna want to download the 3.50 FW (found You must login or register to view this content.)
-Once you get it downloaded, jailbreak your PS3 again like you did to get 3.41.
-When you get to the part where you would normally input the 3.41PUP, replace that with the 3.50 FW and install normally.
It'll take you through the same process again and it should load up 3.50 on your system.
It's a little vague, but if you jailbroke it already, you should know what I'm talking about.
Just follow everything else normally and use DNS to play online

cant you just put the 3.50 in the usb and upgrade from there?

what does it do when you jailbreak then update?

I tried, but my PS3 said it can't find the Firmware on my USB so I had to jailbreak again.
If your PS3 can find the FW, then there might be a chance, but I wouldn't know anything about that.. test it if you can and see.

If you try to update 'via internet' on 3.41, the PS3 will say not possible because the jailbreak tells the PS3 you have the latest update.
So to get the PS3 to 3.50, you have to jailbreak it again to install that update in order for it to recognize and install it.

You need to put your firmware in this position on your flash drive.

they patched the dns already? That was the only reason i wanted to upgrade was to play online.. but i dont want to upgrade to 3.55 because of course i couldnt jailbreak anymore.
think w.e u wana think bud. but ive been hosting CL lobbies today im on 3.50 .. and only have 1 ps3
