Next I unplugged my PS3 slim and plugged it back in then inserted the dongle in the USB port closest to the edge on the left (when looking at the disc slot. I pressed power and then quickly the eject. The screen stays black and the PS3 stays on, but the dongle led never lights up. Then I tried everything above but with the USB port on the right (farthest from the left edge, when looking at the PS3's disc slot). Same thing happens just a black screen, PS3 stays on, but dongle led never lights up. Is anyone having this problem or know how to fix it?

I'm on a PS3 Slim, firmware 3.50

UPDATE: I just read that the dongle doesn't light up doing this, but how long does it take for the PS3 to turn off when it's done?

PS3 never turns off by itself. When I turn it off and then back on the PS3 stays in a black screen, but using a USB flash drive with the file that kicks it out of Factory/Service Mode the PS3 automatically shuts down. Then I turn the PS3 back on without the USB flash drive and the PS3 starts up and goes to the XMB like normal but not in Factory/Service Mode. There must be something wrong with the mHex PSGrade file, or my dongle even though it is genuine real.
