(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Here is a common problem I am sure many are struggling over:

What I did:

1: Got my iTouch 1G Firmware 3.1.2 Jailbroken via RedSn0w

2: Installed Bootlace/OpenSSH

3: Installed OpeniBoot via Bootlace

4: SSH'd into iPod Touch and went to var folder

5: Put the two files(zimage and android ones) in the var folder(mysteriously it says one already exists?)

6: Flipped off PS3 from Back

7: Turned off iPod Touch

8: Plugged iPod Touch into PS3 via cable

9: Turned iPod on and went to Android and Flipped switch on in the back

10: The black text goes and stops at the OpeniBoot logo and according to another source,

Android Files are corrupted, recopy them.

11: Okay, So i recopied them and this this made permissions 777.

12: Same result!!

Please help me and everyone else having this problem. We are eager to jailbreak our PS3's! Thank you,

I can't test as I have to wait till my bro gets a shitbox 360 in a week or so to downgrade and JB, but try searching on google, that's how i find the latest updates on the scene without being able to try things myself. Hope this helps

needs to be in private/var/idroid

Plus, you need to install idriod via bootlace

and, you need the system.img, the cache.img, and the userdata.img in the idroid folder

The following user thanked DCLXVI for this useful post:

I'll tell you how it goes!

Installing iDroid via Bootlace. I am going to backup the folder, then im guessing replace the files with the two jailbreak files? BTW, I use iFunBox to put files and use SSH to set permissions.

I did the same thing as you but instead of installing openiboot though bootlace i installed it though vmware running virtual linux. I put both the zimage and android file in private/var/ and it worked for me.

Yea, the OpeniBoot from Bootlace requires more, I am making a full tutorial for all.
