well i had lots of troubles with this n i just decide to use my ipod cause it was to confusing, but if u really think about it get the eclips3 b/c it doesnt mess up blueray which is probably the best feature u can get because the blueray is worth more than a downgrade

I have a PS3Break v1.2 and I can't get into Factory/Service Mode, PS3 Slim just stays in on a black screen and PS3 doesn't turn off or reset. If you put the Lv2diag.self FILE 2 on a usb flash drive and put it in the usb port closet to the disc drive and then turn on the PS3 it will turn off after 10 seconds, just unplug the flash drive then turn on the PS3 and you are back to normal.

I'm sure the PS3Break v1.2 works great for jailbreaking though, just haven't gotten the chance to try that since I need to downgrade first.

I would pick up the E3 Card Reader, because it's the easiest to program. No software needed, just drag and drop a .bin file to the E3 and it's programmed. Also there are several videos showing the downgrade process.

so ur not being able to downgrade with the ps3break, did u upgrade it like it right?

Yeah it said success every time I programmed it. I think something in the mHex file is incorrect or it may be my dongle. When I program it with the jailbreak mHex it says success and the green led on the dongle lights up, but when I program with the downgrade mHex it says success and the green led doesn't light up. I'm trying to get in contact with the PS3Break team to find out what the problem is. Hopefully I'll have an answer by Monday.
