But with that said, Netflix is an almost must have feature for me, and it appears that I must do the update in order to use it. After looking all over the internet for possible work arounds, I have come up with nothing other than dns spoofing tricks that I can't imagine actually working for this.
So, is there a way to not upgrade to 3.55 and still use netflix? I've already looked at using services such as playon, but that seems to defeat the purpose of using the ps3 in the first place.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

On topic, your best bet will be get a new PS3 i think if dont u want to upgrade, but before that at least some some cod4, waw and mw2, patches, and if your not interested or have any device to jailbreak then wats the point for not updating?

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying... You mean that if I jailbreak it I can use netflix?
