Post: downgrade 3.55 possibility?

Recently i've tried to downgrade my ps3 from 3.50 to 3.41 with a ps3break v.1.2 dongle, i followed the guide and was doing well, but then the green light on the ps3 started flashing, and kept doing it. About two hours later i turned the ps3 off. I tried to start the ps3, but of course i couldn't. i thought i was screwed, but i figured it out.
i took a usb drive, and put the second Lv2diag.self + a 3.55 firmware from ps3's official site and inserted it in the right usb port and started the ps3. and thankfully it started updating to 3.55.
now my ps3 is firmware 3.55 and i can't downgrade it so much i know from reading about 200 different posts.
but now my question to you is:
now i'm thinking can't i start up the ps3, run a system restore and then while running the system restore turn off the ps3 and insert a usb drive with the second Lv2diag.self + a 3.41 firmware, and the install the older driver that way?
im just cuorious if this is a possibility. :bye:

I'm guessing that a different lv2diag.self would be needed to initiate the downgrade process. Just give it time, It'll happen

He was just asking if what he found was a discovery that would allow us to downgrade. That's how people find things out. They try and try until something works. If everyone stopped trying to hack the PS3 just because everyone says you can't downgrade 3.55, we wouldn't get anywhere. He tried something and thought, maybe this works on 3.55. We've cleared up that it probably won't, but it was still something worth posting.

I was aksing because i've read a couple of articles saying that what the 3.55 update basicly does, is that it closes the function of the first Lv2diag.self, the one who gets your ps3 into factory mode. I haven't read anything about the second Lv2diag.self shouldn't work.
so just wondering if this could be an opputunity to downgrade from 3.55.
and Mary Jane: have you even read what i've written in my post? cause i haven't seen exacly this question anywhere. And yes i have read a lot of places that downgrade from 3.55 is impossible. just wondering if this could do it.
