Sorry if my question has been asked before. I have an unmodded Phat 60GB US PS3 on 3.4.2 and I ordered a E3 downgrade/jailbreak dongle and it should be here in a few days.

My question is, is there any way to preserve or restore BD playback capability if I decide to downgrade and jailbreak my PS3? I've read a lot about so-called fixes for that issue but nothing concrete.
