Ok, so I was dumb and updated to 3.55, I know I can't downgrade, BUT is there a way to completely format my ps3's HD and then re-install an older firmware?
so I couldnt remove my ps3's HD hook it up to my pc completely format it? as in.. not the good ole built in " format " feature but a traditional ntfs format and then use a usb stick to put older firmware on therefore defeating the 3.55 by completely nuking it with awesome sauce? o_O :black:

NO.
the updates you download update your firmware on the ps3 cpu. your harddrive doesn't get updated ...
best advice is to not update your 3.55 ever and wait until someone figures out how to hack it.
I had to wait over a month just for my 3.50 to come out. pretty long time if you enjoy online gaming.
as far as i know u cant. the ps3 doesnt write the firmware to the hdd(correct me if im wrong) but writes it to the flash. If this mwthod worked downgradeing would of been discovered ages ago.
