Because as far as i know every jailbreak work, and they all provide updates. In my opinion X3mas in one of the best

If you mean fake jailbreak as in the PSJB clones, they don't upgrade, if you mean fake jailbreak as in PS3key, PS3break, or anything like that PS3break is my favorite, but i'd reccomend the E3 card reader, as it's more noob-friendly
