The second thing you need to do is install all these tools and compile them all from the various developers GIT's, so along comes evilsperm one of the project leaders behind Rebug to release a simple Virtual Image machine of all these needed tools and utilities all ready to use and being an virtual machine you can run this without worrying about the type of current OS and setup you have on your PC.

This is the latest PSL1HGT SDK release with ps3tools installed from hackerchannel.

You can build hex's for all of your dev boards as well as program apps for the PS3, and soon sign your own apps! We have included the latest tools from fail0verflow at the time of this VM release 1.4.2011

You should check their git regularly and update them though

Also included are tools from kakaroto, oopo, aerialX (make sure to check all of their git repos as well)

Nearly all PS3 keys are saved in ~/.ps3

It is up to you to add the rest as they are released.

Some thanx to everyone in the scene:

fail0verflow, geohot, Mathieulh, marcan42, AerialX, OoPo, KaKaRoToKS, waninakoko, hackerchannel
And all the others I have left out, without all of you this scene would be nowhere.
Check Codename: Rebug site regularly for updates to this VM and all of the latest news on Rebug.

+REP OR THANKS IF I HELPED! Thanks!

Here's a list of other virtualization software:
Parallels Workstation, Parallels Desktop for Mac, VirtualBox, Virtual Iron, Oracle VM, Virtual PC, Virtual Server, Hyper-V, VMware Workstation, VMware Server (formerly GSX Server), QEMU, Adeos, Mac-on-Linux, Win4BSD, Win4Lin Pro, and Egenera vBlade technology.

You can use any virtualization software. You could install wubi if you wish as well. Which installs grub and allows you to dual boot. I'm not sure if a version exists for Mac though.

Or you could also use cygwin.

There's so many options don't think virtualization is the only way because it is not.
