(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What is the point of putting CFW on your PS3, and is there any way to put it on if we are already 3.55?

No point yet, but eventually you will be able to run homebrew apps like ftp server and backup manager among other things (these are well know on this site) check out this thread...

backup manager will never work with the released cfw/mfw from KaKaRoToKS


we have to wait for better firmwares

Right i was not clear with my point, i ment the idea of CFW and installing pkgs not as he suggested jailbreaking cfw to run "unsigned" pkgs

The point of CFW is to hack your 3.55 Console. It's useful for running homebrew apps. like FTP Server, SNES Emulators, and other things.
