2nd. YOU CANNOT MAKE CFW W/O Sony's keys in them so they still cant ban you and if you run backup manager your ps3 will be bricked no doubt

1. You can make custom firmware since the keys have been released publicly.
2. You can run backup manager if it is signed or if you are using a CFW that allows unsigned code to be run.
3. If you brick your console, you can just unbrick it by putting it into service mode via a downgrade dongle.
The recent bloom of the PS3 hacking has been very productive. The console is basically screwed since all the keys have been released. Just about anything you do can be undone unless you go onto your HD via FTP Server and start deleting everything lol.

Thats what i was saying mate ffs he said youll get banned for unsigned himebrew but the fw is signed so sony can detect it

It may be unsigned but Sony don't know that, when everyone went online with unsigned homebrew on 3.41 Sony knew something was up since the GameID of the homebrew was not an existing GameID (LAUN1234). That's why there were tutorials released on how to change the GameID of the PARAM.SFO files within the homebrew data. As long as you are careful and take the right precautions you should be ok, however, no one really knows what sony can access remotely on our PS3's so only time will tell.
