Here's how to get it to work btw:
1) Put PS3 into service mode
2) Put the .self onto a USB
3) Boot up PS3
what exactl does it do because somehow geohot got his pkgs to work and using this somehow..."""What Famous Geohot has done is that he has enabled the .pkg feature with a lv2diag.self after he has then signed the (NPRDM) self file and packaged it into a retail.pkg file without a signature. A file is then patched again on the flash so that it ignores the signature. What this does is that it allows homebrew to run from the XMB without the signature."""""""""""""""from psfreedom website

Ok...that's nice. But what does it do? Downgrade from 3.55 to 3.41 or what?
I actually haven't tried this yet. I'll do it in a bit tho, as I just got home from school .
I've just seen that video you posted with GeoHotz doing the Homebrew, is that all we have to do? Does this have a backup manager? I'm going to test it tomorrow. Is it on CFW?
