(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys over the past couple of days the whole sb has been spammed with FTP release and stuff and alot of people have asked whats a FTP, so i thought i would make this thread the help out all the noobs that dont know so lets get on with it,

The main thing with a signed ftp and a CFW is you dont need a JB Ps3 ATALL You can transfer patched from your pc to your ps3 without 3.41

a FTP is a file transfer protocoll(sorry about my spelling)

ok so now you know what a ftp is you going to ask what dose it do?

well with the release to the custom firmware aka CFW you can install .pkg file's these files are also know to be called homebrew
homebrew is files made by dev's not by sony so like a backup manager it backup your games and installs them to your hdd thus you can play anygame you've installed with a diffent disk,so say i installed blackops i could play it with a mw2 disk in my ps3, i'm not 100% sure but i think with the new backup manager you can play games with out a disk straight from your hdd but its laggy so i've heard.

ok so what a ftp can do for you.

with the FTP server installed onto your ps3 via the CFW or jailbreak for people on 3.41 you can transfer say a mw2 patch from your pc to your ps3 so you can host modded mw2 lobbys and other games, the reason everyone is so eger to get hold of a signed and packaged ftp server is so that every lobby you pretty much join will be modded, ps3 has screwed them self over and over time game devs like ubisoft might not go to ps3 because of there security flaw, anyways

i hope this topic helped you if you didnet know

thanks
