first if your trying Geo CWF, make sure you install OFW from SOny.
Then go into recovery menu and install it.

I got same error on Kakaroto CFW installed OFW (recovery menu) then Geo CFW showed up under XMB.

Step 1. Turn your PS3 off.
Step 2. Hold the power button until it beeps twice then turns off. Press and hold again until it beep about 3 times. It should enter service mode.
Step 3. Select system update, then insert USB, or vice versa.
Step 4. Press Select + Start when ready to update.
Step 5. Profit!!

i have o firmware still and it wont work i used recovery and all that it wont work>

Are you sure you're trying the PS3UPDAT.PUP and not test.pkg?

im not stupid i know how to do it im just having a problem

PS3UPDAT.PUP, is the name it needs to be.

i know i changed it a few seconds ago cuz sombody messaged me that i was wrong
