:wtf:I tried to go back to 3.55 ofw but PS3 says no applicable update data was found, same thing in recovery mode. I downloaded the update from the playstation website

Make sure your files are set right, and no other files are inside UPDATE but the ps3 file which should be named PS3UPDAT.pup.

Usb root. PS3>UPDATE>PS3UPDAT.pup

My question is, whats the likely-ness of a backup manger release?

How about someone can post a list of all the tools and tutorials one would need to build their own CFW. That would be a great start. Especially for those that WANTED a Backup Manager for their own purpose or "happiness" This way the questions of support for a Backup Manager could be seized. Smile
