I have tried reinstalling from recovery mode, and it says the same thing. Help plz? And its not bricked, because i can play games and all that shit on it. It works fine, i just want OFW back.

You need to install it from a usb.

Create a folder called ps3 on your usb and inside that one called UPDATE.

Place the firmware there which you can get from the official ps3 website.

I did that, it just wont find it. USB files are as follows:

PS3->UPDATE->PS3UPDAT.PUP (i downloaded it from sony website less than an hour ago)

i hade the same problem make sure theres only one ( . ) before PUP .

There is only 1 dot. does it matter if i tried installing geohots cfw over kakarotos cfw? i heard that kinda screws things up. it didnt brick tho.

If you do then you wont get a result, you'll stay on KaKaRoToS's CFW.

Well thanks for the answer. Do you think I can update to another version of kakaroto if he releases another one?
