Located in /dev_flash/, There is a holder named ps2emu. Could these possibly be the files for the emulation on my PS3 80 gig bc console? My PS3 uses emulation to play ps2 games unlike the 60 gig. If we were able to add this folder into our dev_flash would it give backwards compatibility to the non bc consoles? Sorry if this is noobly.
From my understanding and what some of the hackers (kakaroto and Geo) have said that it might be difficult with the 256MB of ram and the fact that PS3 that can't play PS2 don't have the emotion or something like that chip.
I remember reading also if it has 2 USB then it is missing that chip, i there are 4 it has it.
also for those wanting to copy those files from a BC PS3 to a non BC PS3, it won't work, those were made specifically around hardware. You are going to need a real emulator that someone makes. ANd i believe people tried this and failed already whnen they copied it can't remember it was a long time ago when JB released.
I would much rather have N64 emulation, as my PS3 already plays PS2 games... I feel I would use them more though if I could just dump my Nightfire 007 to the HDD though.
