if you dont no how to use filezilla or ftp i wouldt even bother trying coz ull most probz move files about and F*** up your ps3 so

1) Blocks patches apparently... So you can play with an old patch of a game (if I'm correct)
2) You need it so you can transfer stuff from your PC to PS3 or vice versa
3) Yea, you can get banned.
