(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It's a known fact that the PS3 tells $ony what you get up to, it does this by sending information stored in:

-/dev_hdd0/vhs/pushlist/patch.dat

My question is, could we modify the permissions on these files to allow only reading and NOT writing?
This way we could upload the same legit details every time, and when we open a new homebrew app, the system will attempt to write in the app's ID etc. and fail, leaving a legit list.

Thoughts?

Bump.
Has nobody any observations to contribute?
Or is it that the FTP/File Manager do not support editing permissions?

I'm pretty sure linux and FTP both support permissions, and the ps3 uses a similar directory layout to linux so I'd assume that permission mods can be applied, probably similar to this:

chmod 444 target_file

Which would allow reading and not writing.
