Might be possible using hamachi, if you bridge your connection from ps3 to pc, using hamachi, and then try connect FireZilla using that, other wise its probably just easier to link your friend to this thread - You must login or register to view this content. as it shows you get firezilla on without staying on jailbreak and having no trace.

No you can't. If you want to transfer to him, you guys have to have the PS3's the distance of an ethernet cable away from each other.
