A FTP server that is signed. (It's in the sticky's)
A PS3 either jailbroken or on Geohot's CFW 3.55
A FTP client on your computer, (filezilla is most widely used)
A computer.

Step 1.) Know what account your going to be doing it on. If you ever only created 1 account, you will be fine. If you created more then 1 account, know what # the account is. For example, I have 3 accounts and I'm doing it on accounts #2.. It would be #2. If you don't know what # the account is, just create a new account. (not a PSN account.)

Step 2.) Go to your FTP server on the PS3. Obtain your IP address, then put it into the client side of the FTP server. (Filezilla, or any other FTP client on your PC.) HOST:Your IP address. Username:FTPD12345 Passwordleave blank.) Port:21. You should now have access to your PS3. Make your way to "hdd0" and goto "home" then goto "friendim" and you should see a file named "mecomment.dat" drag that file over to your desktop and clear anything in it.

Step 3.) Now it's time to edit it.. Open it with a Hex-editor of your choice, I recommend using Hxd. You can have a maximum of 63 characters. But I would advise not going above 50. You cannot use special characters. If you do anything wrong such as using special characters, or to many characters, your comment will be blank. You may want to use a link-break because your comment can go out of the border a little bit sometimes and can be hard to read. Once you finished editing it, save it. Drag that file back over to the "friendim" folder and overwrite the one that's there. Then turn off your PS3 via the PS button. DONT EXIT THE FTP CLIENT, OR IT WONT WORK. Turn your PS3 on and it should be there. If you want to make sure it works, put "test file" as your comment first just to be sure your not doing anything wrong.

Now, if you are jailbroken and not on CFW, just datatransfer to 3.55 and it will show up.

I was wondering how you get you comment to be black and under your name.....

Theres a guy on my FL whos comment is "You Wish You Could Do This " the text is black and instead of it being above his name its under it.

for the FTP just put your ip as the host thing and your good but why would u use this instead of using the Awesome File Manager!! that thing is amazingly awesome! lol
