(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I tried putting the new folder called PS3 then UPDATE then putting the original update in there and then putting the usb into my ps3 and going to system update then via storage media, it said no appilcable update data was found. how can i get back to original?

Go to safe mode and upgrade that way. I heard it works if you do it like that.

Are you sure it's 3.55 Official Firmware? And make sure you have the flash drive set up like this: root:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP.
Also did you jailbreak with that flash drive?

It is the official firmware, i have that set up right, i just tried with the custom fireware from geohot and it showed up, how come the original wont show up! i used the flashdrive to put geohots custom firmware on my ps3

Sorry, then I wouldn't know how else to help you. I have the CFW on but haven't gone back to OFW yet so I wouldn't know what to do.

Boot in recovery mode, should do the trick.

There's a thread regarding it by one of the mods somewhere Smile
