Alright so many of us have decided to try out the new downgrading from 3.55 to 3.41 and have gotten stuck trying to go back to 3.55 with corrupted data, so here is a tut that will show you how to get back to either 3.55 official firmware or 3.55 custom firmware or pretty much any other firmware you want...
Requirements
you will need a dongle that can get you into factory service mode, the lv2diag files [You must login or register to view this content.] and you will also need the 3.55 ofw, 3.55 cfw(if you want to go back to custom firmware), the 3.41 modified pup, and you will need another firmware lower than 3.41(I used 3.15)

Step 1) put ps3 into factory service mode with your jailbreak device, or jig key (doesn't matter what kind even the itouches can work if you know how to do that)
Step 2) turn off PS3...then on the computer, put the lv2diag from FILE1 and the 3.41 modified pup onto the root of a formatted fat32 usb stick.
Step 3) plug the usb stick into the far right usb slot on your ps3 and turn on the ps3, let the ps3 do its thing and it should turn on but not show anything on the screen, then after about no more than 5 minutes it should turn off.
Step 4) On your computer replace the 3.41 modified pup that's on your usb stick with a pup firmware lower than 3.41 and keep the lv2diag from file1 on the usb stick as well.
Step 5) plug the USB stick back into the ps3 and turn it on again, it should do the same thing again as it is downgrading once more to a lower firmware (steps 4 and 5 is required because the modified firmware from 3.41 is actually read on the PS3 as a 3.56 firmware and that is why it does not allow us to go back to 3.55)
Step 6) Once the PS3 turns back off, delete all the files on your USB stick and put the lv2diag from FILE2 onto it(this is the file that allows us to get out of factory service mode)
Step 7) Plug the USB stick that has the lv2diag from FILE2 into the ps3 in the far right usb slot and then turn on the PS3 and let it do its thing and it will turn off again in about 2-3 minutes.
Step After this is all done, update your ps3 to 3.55 fw via usb stick or throught the internet and you should be back to 3.55 official firmware if you want 3.55 cfw, then you must do one more step.
Optional Step 9) After the 3.55 update is finished load the 3.55 cfw onto the USB stick in this directory Z:\PS3\UPDATE (the z is just the name of your usb drive, it can be different on your computer)
step 10) Once the cfw is loaded on the USB stick then just plug it into the ps3 and go to the system update and update via USB

i have an E3 card reader
psjailbreak (authentic) but website is down so i cant use it cuz i cant program it
and a psjailbreak2 from china, it is programable for downgrade and hack cuz site is up

i used E3 card reader to go down to 3.41 custom from 3.55 but it wont let me
go down further to OFW 3.15 so i can update to OFW 3.41 and then use my jailbreak device.

so i thought maybe i can upgrade to 3.41 OFW from 3.41 CUSTOM FIRMWARE like
people do withi the Geohot 3.55 custom, they go from 3.55 official to 3.55 custom. is that
possible doing it reverse, going from 3.41 custom to 3.41 original? i tried it and it still says 3.41 but doesnt say wheter its custom or not when i boot up into the Factory/service mode, so im afraid to get out of the factory service mode cuz im afraid it might brick it cuz when i booted it some squigly lines came accompanied with some white snow, so i dunno, any help?

UPDATE:
ok so i did waht i said above, and i didnt get the forever blinking green light, it only took like three mintues. and then it booted into factory mode and it still said 3.41, then i got out of factory mode, and it booted ok, i had to set it up like a new ps3, but im wondering, how can i know if its the custom 3.41 or the original 3.41? well, im gonna try and run the hack from my E3card reader and see if it works. thanks for the help? lol

im in the same boat as you, i skyped with ballakidz a couple of days ago and he couldnt figure it out either, after getting to modifired 3.41 from 3.55 offical and trying to get to 3.15 official the light just stays blinking green FOREVER, ballakidz doesnt know how to fix that. but this tutorial does work for others, but im guessing not for alot of slim models, i plan on sending mine in to sony, but i plan on installing offical 3.41, cuz i found a weird thing, that once im on modified 3.41 that i can install original 3.41 on top of it. weird i know, i but imma do that so sony cant tell if i have hacked my shit.
oh yea. ps: ballakidz your a D@#$, u just abandoned me in the middle of helping me out, u suck, but whatever

any chance on getting a working link for the modified file as thats all i need and i search all over the net and seems all links not work
