Post: How to change patches using Comgenie's awesome file manager tutorial
01-14-2011, 01:27 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys so here's a quick simple written tutorial how to put patches on or change patches using comgenie's awsome file manager!

Put patch to usb, plug usb in the second usb port on ps3, start up file manager, on the left side scroll down to dev_hdd0 press x on it, then scroll down to game and press x on it, then find the bles code that is the same on your mw2 disc (mines bles00683) press x on it, then press x on USRDIR then scroll down to patch_mp.ff and keep it highlighted, press right on the dpad to take you to the right side and go down to dev_usb000 click on it and find your patch_mp.ff highlight it then press circle then start. This should copy it to your hdd and should change the patch for you.

Should be straight forward, repeat the process to change to different patches!

Can do a video if that didn't make much sense!
Hope this helped

Well there was no need to farm some reputation as there are about a dozen of these exact tutorials on NGU.

You're correct, you didn't ask for rep. The point is, there are dozens of tutorials out there flooding NGU. A new one comes out everyday. So by making yet another tutorial, the assumption is that you want rep. Do you see where I am going? You implied it.

You don't make tutorials again and again on the same subject to help people. It's kind of the same concept as friends. You only have friends because you have something to gain from them. By acquiring more friends, you obtain more power. If you've ever went to school, it's called popularity.

Even if you made the FIRST tutorial on NGU about this, the thing driving your cause is to get more rep, thus acquiring more power.

People only want to make tutorials because of 2 reasons:

1. They are retarded and didn't already see a tutorial and want rep.

2. They want rep.

But I do have to admit, it's better than most of the crap tutorials here. So yes, I will give you +rep. Please do not think of me as a bad person. Really more of me posting a comment on here was for... well to tell anyone whoever read the thread.

Wow what a huge conradiction! That massive shit lecture about rep then you gave me rep?
Some people dont just make tutorials just becase 'they are retarded and didn't already see a tutorial and want rep'
Some people just want to help others! I mean what the hell is rep anyway? It doesnt to anything for me, if had a tenner for everytime a got rep i'd be more inclined to try and get some! But I don't so i dont want or need it, just want to help

Highlight the patch_mp.ff on the left side, then press right on the dpad go to dev_usb000 and find your patch_mp.ff and make sure thats highlighted to, then press O then start. This should copy it from your usb onto the ps3's hdd, Hope this helped. I think i get what your saying yeah always highlight the same patch_mp.ff on the left side (there should only be one) then select your patch from the right side, let me know if that goes ok!
