(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); user[/i] a dev/member of PSX-Scene has released another great application, what it does, is automatically create a HDD patch NPDRM package for your desired game., here is a quote from the original post:

Features:[/u]

-GUI
-easy to use
-some patch options to try
-keeps path lengths (maybe better compatibility)

You must login or register to view this content.

Instructions:

1. Select local game directory (don’t select PS3_GAME)

2. Choose a name for the games backup folder (exactly 6 letters and/or digits)

3. Choose a patch method (try different, if game crashes)

4. Choose the firmware your ps3 is on

5. Click patch

6. You can find your pkg in the directory you extracted my tool

7. FTP your backup (contents of PS3_GAME!) to /dev_hdd0/z/XXXXXX (chosen at step 2)

8. Install the package you generated

Requirements:

3.55 geohot fw? maybe 3.41 jailbroken works too

-a game to test on your PC’s HDD

-FTP Server installed on your PS3

-.NET

Note:[/u]
-this is an experimental release, plz report fail/success here
-pkgs with PS3_GAME warnings may still work
-added experimental support for external drives (might change path length)
-small patches

Again for the noobs who are struggling with what to do.

1. Click on the button with 3 dots and select the folder that contains all of the game example: c:\GAMEZ\BCES00322 where this folder contains the PS3_GAME, PS3_UPDATE and possibly some other folders and files.

2. Type in a backup directory name to be no more than 6 characters, so why not choose MOTST for Motorstorm

3. Select Firmware either 3.55 if your on 3.55 with GeohotJB or 3.41 if using a Dongle

4. Patch method. I like to use advanced as it has been okay so far

5. Click Patch and hopefully it ends with 0 warnings. If not, then try a different patch method or check 1 to 3

6. Find the folder where you ran the app PS3 BD2HDD and you'll find a file ending in PKG. It will also have the Game ID as part of the file name.

7. Copy PKG to USB stick, Go to PS3, Find app Install Package and look for PKG file

8. Run PKG file and go back to XMB. Look for your game. It won't run yet!

9. Start FTP on PS3, Start FTP on PC

10. Using FTP on PC, look for dev_hdd0/game and then the folder that your game ID is called for example dev_hdd0/game/BCES00322

11. Open this folder and make your way to the USRDIR folder

12. On the PC side, do the same navigation and copy all of the files inside the USRDIR folder to the PS3 EXCEPT the EBOOT.BIN

13. Wait a while

14. Close FTP on PC and PS3, play game

15. If it don't work, it could be that the game is not playable from XMB or you've screwed up somewhere.

This works for me all of the time except where a game refuses to follow the rules......

it's easier to crack a 1.0 version of the game.

2 ways.

go to game data utility and delete the game taht your trying to patch, then start again.

or

dont delete that file and use d0zspatcher instead. it has a version number changer on it, so it might work.

so when you delete the game utility i take it you start the game up again to reinstall the game data but dont update it?
