One thing I am wondering though, what's the difference between his CFW and PSGroove other than the CFW is an update?

if you mean the difference between 3.41 JB (PSGroove) & 3.55 JB (GeoHot) then the difference is that you can play online as of now lol. i'm sure there's more differences but i wouldn't know.

but i would also like to know what the chances of getting banned are.
